SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER | Seattle, WA

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for materials management, purchasing and the supply chain, while building out best in class processes and practices. The position reports to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for inventory management, supplier performance, material replenishment systems, build scheduling, and inventory forecasting. This is an opportunity to build and mature the company’s supply chain function and contribute to strategic planning.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and lead the execution of supply chain strategies that support on-time delivery (OTD), of high quality medical devices. •

  • Detailed management of contract manufacturing (CM) partners Finished Goods Inventory levels and Purchase Orders. • Oversee CM component inventory levels and ensure they support lead times and build schedules in a high volume, high product mix environment. Review and improve related processes.

  • Working closely with Sales and Finance, improve upon the inventory forecasting process.

  • Manage the corporate Purchasing process, improving structure and efficiency.

  • Develop inventory reduction and material sourcing strategies for continued cost improvements.

  • Ensure supply chain capacity to support future growth of business.

  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier selection initiatives for new product development.

  • Manage suppliers through implementation and tracking of key metrics.

  • Partner with Quality team on quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.

  • Some travel required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • BS degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field. Masters level degree preferred.

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in Supply Chain Management, including working within a small company, high growth environment. Experience scaling and growing the supply chain function.

  • Direct experience managing outsourced contract manufacturers.

  • Demonstrated success to develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies and action plans.

  • Ability to work hands-on in supply chain, inventory management, purchasing capacity. (Initially there are no direct reports to this position)

  • Skilled in executing on supplier sourcing initiatives.

  • Excellent analytical, organization, and planning skills.

  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships & influence up, down and across organizational lines.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of cost accounting.

  • Prior experience in ERP/MRP (Great Plains preferred)

  • Experience in medical device industry preferred.

  • Certification in APICS and/or ISM is preferred.
